To order these nutrition resources you must be a Washington nutrition/health professional or educator. Please contact the Washington State Beef Commission directly using our Web Form to inquire about any of the materials for use in nutrition/health education classes or resources for your office or classroom.

Fit For A Princess

Educational Girl Scout patch program designed to cover topics of nutrition and the role of specific nutrients in the diet. For Junior Girl Scout Troops, ages 8-11. Each troop kit includes a leader guide and a guide book, tiara and patch for each scout as well as a letter to the parents explaining the program. Fit for a Princess has received approval from the American Association of Family Physicians Foundation and was created cooperatively with the GSUSA organization. Beef in Brief

This kit can be used in social studies, science or language arts middle school classes. Beef in Brief tells the farm-to-fork story of beef production. Topics covered include nutrition, food safety, animal welfare, environmental impact and by-products.

This colorful 24-page booklet for junior and senior high school consumer sciences students covers the nutritional benefits of beef as well as all aspects of buying, storing, preparing and serving beef.
